As a demonstrator, the avatar is fantastic: the manufacturing is on point, and the glue less assembly make sure the pen will stand the test of time, without any of the glue failing or yellowing. The nib is well tuned, and the magnetic closure works well for an office setting, for a quick draw tool.
The grip is chromed metal, which is a little bit to slippery and cold for my taste. It was advertised with a rubber grip cover, but the pen I got did not have a such a feature. Will probably make me use the pen less than it deserves. A shame.
I have never owned a Pineider pen until I received this in my subscription box this month. I didn't know what I was missing by not owning this pen. The Pineider Avatar feels comfortable and well balanced in my hand. The writing experience itself was incredible. This pen glides across the page and gives a smooth writing experience. I do not like nibs with feedback and I was so very pleased at how this pen wrote without feedback. I also liked the magnetic closure on the pen. I will purchase pens from Pineider in the future.
I have this pen in 3 of the 4 available colors (don't have the transparent yet)! I love it that much. Definitely worth grabbing one.
I received a sky blue with fine nib in my Collector's box this month, and it's now an every-day carry for me. Solid construction, comfortable grip section, and a fantastic nib. The blue is a little darker in person than in the photo, and that's a good thing for me. I'd love to get a clear in the future.
