Developed by Kyoto TAG and inspired by traditional pigments, Usugumo sits near the center of the grey spectrum. On white papers it reads as a cool, misty grey; on cream stocks it gently warms for a restrained, ink-wash effect. With wetter nibs it deepens toward charcoal, while finer points keep lines crisp and airy.
Writing Experience
Usugumo offers smooth, well-behaved flow for everyday notes, planning, and sketching. For clean scripts, pair with fine or medium nibs; for more prominent shading, try broader or softer nibs. Use fountain pen friendly paper to highlight its tonal variation and minimize feathering. Routine rinsing when changing colors is recommended.
